Our new name reflects the evolution of our work and our vision for the future. Deeply-rooted in the belief that powerful music and compelling, emotional storytelling are at the heart of great opera, we are committed to growing the art form by opening space for new stories, voices, and creative territory, while fostering gender-diverse leadership in opera. 

 

Dating back millions of years, the magnolia tree symbolizes resilience, elegance, and strength. Its massive blooms burst into life each spring before the leaves even appear—audacious and unexpected—echoing the work we strive to create: emotionally powerful and unapologetically bold, reaching toward new ideas and unheard perspectives.
